Emily Buchenhorst:
I have been practicing in the field for twelve years, working in substance use treatment programs at all levels of care: inpatient, co-occurring, detoxification, and outpatient. I have been the Clinical Supervisor for a program for mothers with substance use problems and Child Protective services involvement: the Family First Program at the Center for Family Services-- a program designed to meet the substance use treatment needs of pregnant and parenting women. I have also been a Clinical Supervisor for Center for Family Services, Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative (CPSAI) for the Cumberland East and Salem County office of the Division of Child Permanency and Protection (DCPP), providing clinical supervision to the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors and Counselor Aide staff in the DCPP office, and I have been a Clinical Supervisor for the Peer Recovery Support Program providing clinical supervision to the non-clinical staff of Peer Recovery Support Specialists in the Camden and Gloucester County DCPP Offices.
Currently I am the Program Director at Helping Hand Behavioral Health in Clayton, New Jersey. Helping Hand Behavioral Health serves those with co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders with three levels of care: Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Care.
